The Andalusian Olive Cooperative Society La Purísima de Priego de Córdoba was born in the heart of the Subbética Cordobesa in the year nineteen forty-five as a first-grade agricultural cooperative society. It has just over four hectares of its own traditional olive groves which, together with the productions of its more than nine hundred partners, add up to an average annual harvest of around fifteen thousand tons of olives of the picuda, hojiblanca and picual varieties, characteristic of the mountain olive grove. of the region. These varieties, selected and harvested in a traditional way, make this olive juice one of the most precious oils in the world. Tradition and experience come together to achieve a high-quality and exquisite product, capable of competing with the best oils on the market. Every year, expert tasters select the best of the production that is reserved for its commercialization through our brands “Bajondillo”, “Prados de Olivo” and “El Empiedro”. The latter contains the best extra virgin olive oil, protected and certified by the Priego de Córdoba Protected Designation of Origin. All these products are stored and packaged in their facilities so that, taking maximum care of every detail, they arrive from the field to the table.
