In the 2020 edition of the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards , we achieved an excellent score with the two Aoves presented. Both the picual monovarietal oil and the coupage received international recognition with platinum and gold medals, respectively.

The score obtained by our monovarietal picual places it in the top 20 of the best extra virgin olive oils in Spain. The Iberoleum guide is the most important at the national level, exhaustively evaluating the best Aoves in the country.
NEW YORK-TOKYO-LONDON
From New York we brought home a meritorious silver medal at the 2019 edition of the NYIOOC .
From Japan we received a silver medal in 2018, in the prestigious Olive Japan contest .

ABOUT US?
UNO is not born like any other EVOO but as an idea. This idea is simple but powerful. It is a fact that olive oil is the most recommended food for cancer prevention. This concept that oil is a good food in itself led us to ask ourselves the following question...
COULD WE MAKE AN OLIVE OIL EVEN BETTER, AS FOOD, THAN IT ALREADY IS? Lately, Jaén is making very good early-harvest EVOOs and we wanted to follow that path. UNO is harvested in October, in its own Picual variety olive grove near the municipality of Torrequebradilla, in the heart of the Jaén countryside. Among its qualities , it should be noted that it has a fatty acidity of only 0.1 and peroxide levels below 5%. As for the tasting of this monovarietal, it is persistently fruity, round and very balanced in spiciness and bitterness. On the palate, the grass, almonds and pine nuts make themselves noticeable in a pleasant way and on the nose the green touches of the countryside and orchard intermingle with the aroma of fig leaves.
ONE IS THE DIFFERENCE
We can find all this in other early EVOOs, but what makes UNO different is that it was the first EVOO to allocate part of its profits, specifically 30%, to an organization that fights against childhood leukemia ( One in a hundred thousand ) . . This makes the simple fact of consuming a food as good as olive oil beneficial for other people, which is why we say that UNO is a good oil.

HOW IS ONE?

UNO is an Extra Virgin Olive Oil whose olive, Picual variety, was collected manually and early in Mancha Real (Jaén). Between its collection and extraction, it did not exceed 8 hours, which makes its tasting exquisite. It transmits a clear fruity flavor and smell, maintaining a minimum acidity and a fair and round itching as well as very low levels of oxidation. But UNO is not only good for its taste, it is also good for its properties, and its commitment to the environment and society.
GOOD AGAINST CANCER
The simple fact that UNO is Extra Virgin Olive Oil, makes it, thanks to its monosaturated fatty acids, antioxidant properties or vitamin E, one of the purest and most recommended foods in all types of diets for the prevention of diseases such as cancer. . In fact, it has been found in some studies that it can reduce cancer by 68%.

But UNO Oil wants to be consistent and good, not only for what it is originally, but also for what it does for its purposes. SENSORY PROFILE
The UNO 2020/21 vintage is presented as an EVOO with a medium-high green fruitiness, with a light and elegant bitterness and spice. The direct notes are clearly green, reminding us of green wood and banana peel. Sweet on the palate, with nuances of tomato and green leaves, giving way to nuances of dried fruit and revealing its astringency. It is a balanced oil in all its attributes.
